Future West
Publishing was established in 1993 to respond to a need for time
capsule books. We found that, besides time capsule books, genealogy
books as well as history books were also in need of being published.
With mergers,
the large publishing houses in New York and elsewhere were just
too busy looking for best-sellers to accommodate this need for
valuable information.
Many writers,
especially on the West Coast, were finding sparse response to
their manuscript proposals. The larger publishing houses, it seems,
were too dependent on minimum sales figures to cover overhead
allocations and returns on equity.
These manuscripts needed to become real books. They need to be
printed and shipped and sold so that they may find their audiences.
We ask only
one thing of you, the writer: write a good book. When you do so,
and when we agree to publish it, we'll work to get it published
in a way you'll be proud to see.
For our readers,
we ask only that you trust us to bring you fresh information that
will help you preserve your knowledge. Our editorial staff will
not always bring you everything you desire to read, but our readers
can rest assured that if a book bears the Future West Publishing
imprint, it is deemed to be of quality, to be of value and to
be deserving of production. We would rather work harder to find
new sales for our existing books of quality than release a trivial
title for financial requirements.
Our books
are different. You won't find the information anywhere else. Try
them. Then, if you like one of our books, let us know. Let us
know, also, if you didn't and why. We're easy to find, by both
e-mail and traditional mail. If you keep letting us know what
you want to read, we'll keep finding authors and titles that are
fresh, different, informing and interesting.

Publishing has been founded on these goals. We look forward to
